Writing Prompt #97: “I tried to be what you wanted me to be.” “You never noticed.”
“I tried to be what you wanted me to be.”
“You never noticed.”
“I’m sorry.” Linda responded.
“You’re not you’re just saying that just to make me shut up. It’s like you don’t even care about what I have to say.” Jack shouted to his mother as he paced back and forth.
As tears spilled from her eyes, she uttered. “If I can go back and change things, I would.”
Jack stopped pacing and spat back.
“That will not cut it. Your dreams are not enough. I cried out for you and you didn’t notice one bit.”
“Listen, let’s just move on from this.” Linda said as she put her hand out.
“No. I’m just going to move on from you.” He said as he exited the room. Leaving Linda in tears.
