Writing Prompt #61: Write a poem from the perspective of a fictional character
I chose the character from my short story, The Story Of Charles Levi.
They think they understand me
But they never will
I loved my little brother and I was supposed to be his shield
But because of me, he was killed
You don’t know how that feels
That bitch wrote about it like she had won a Nobel prize
I had to rise
I had to come back for everyone that was involved
I needed to watch them all choke on their own blood
As my machete slid deep inside their bodies
When it comes to revenge there’s no stopping me
Oh, they already stopped me
Or did they?
Love, David Levi
